"Everybody Wants Some"...Birthday Cake!
Hey, Rockers!
Let's all raise our lighters and wish a very happy birthday to Eddie Van Halen! The pharoah of finger-tapping...the guru of guitar shredding turns 54 today!
...And here’s some Van Halen-related Rock of Ages trivia: There are two references to the band in the show – a David Lee Roth-like leap and exclamation of “Jump!” from Lonny during “Just Like Paradise” and Drew’s “OU812” tee-shirt!

More ROA Press!
Hey, rockers!
The press is continuing to shout out to the back row of the arena the news that Rock of Ages is moving to Broadway and predicting great things for the both show and one of the stars of the off-Broadway production (whom we are hoping to see in the Broadway production as well!), Constantine Maroulis.
The NY Daily News, The Wall Street Journal’s Market Watch and the blog site at MusicBLITZ are just some of the most recent members of the media to hop on the Rock of Ages word-of-mouth tour bus, headed straight for the Brooks Atkinson Theater in March.
Speaking of word-of-mouth, don't forget to register at on our message board, The Bourbon Room at The Cry of the Strip! We've saved a bar stool and a chilled Strawberry Daiquiri wine cooler just for YOU!

Welcome to the Jungle!
Rock of Ages The Musical has just ended it's off-Broadway run at New World Stages in New York City.
The show will be opening on Broadway proper at the Brooks Atkinson Theater in March for previews with an official opening night in April.
And the Hollywood feature film version of Rock of Ages is currently in development with a release date expected in 2010.
In the meantime, due to the success of our facebook fan page, we here at The Cry Of The Strip! (TCOTS) have decided to upgrade our services to you, the fans, with a blog and a website. Now you don't have to be a facebook user to follow the denizens of Dupree's Bourbon Room and the vixens of The Venus Strip, uh, I mean "Gentlemens" Club.
So kick back with a cherry slurpee, crank some Bon Jovi and Poison tunes, and join the blog here for news of the show and its cast and crew and all things related.
